
Seventeen communities in Oregon have formal sister city relationships with communities in Japan and six Oregon communities are now in the initial stages of developing a sister city relationship with a community in Japan. The State of Oregon also enjoys a Sister State/Prefectural Relationship and the Port of Portland has maintained a Sister Port relationship in Japan for 14 years.
